Jim Johnson, not Jason Grilli, gets the save against Reds

by Steve Painter | Tue, May 12th 12:22am EDT

Coach Fredi Gonzalez indicated that he chose to give Grilli another day of recovery when asked why Jim Johnson came on in the ninth to notch his second save of the season. He had 13 pitches in the inning and eight were for strikes. He recorded one strikeout and allowed one hit.

Fantasy Impact:

It'll be back to normal tomorrow, with Grilli handling the closing duties and Johnson the set-up duties. Johnson owners are thrilled he did well tonight and know their guy is capable of stepping up when needed.
