Jon Jay placed on 15-day DL with left wrist tendonitis

The Cardinals placed outfielder Jon Jay on the 15-day disabled list with left wrist tendonitis on Thursday morning. The team recalled Xavier Scruggs from AAA Memphis is a corresponding move. (St. Louis Cardinals on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
A trip to the DL was somewhat expected after it was Pete Kozma, not Jay, who came into the game to relieve the ailing Matt Holliday yesterday. Peter Bourjos will take Jay's spot in the lineup and bat leadoff Thursday.
