After minor swoon, Paul Goldschmidt gets another multi-hit game

After a brief three-game-plus slide that saw him go 0-for-8 with two walks, Paul Goldschmidt returned to his mashing ways Wednesday, falling a home run short of the cycle and reaching base four times total. The three-hit day raised his batting average to .347.

Fantasy Impact:

Goldschmidt is going to perform and appears to be a top-5 fantasy stud in any format, but if you are the type to sell high, now is probably the time to shoot for the moon. His .418 BABIP is .067 higher than his career average. Goldschmidt's line drive percentage, HR/fly ball rate and other peripherals also suggest a moderate correction in the future. In addition, after 33 games, Goldschmidt is about to play his first games outside of National League West ballparks - though his first stop is at the basement-dwelling Philadelphia Phillies.
