Dickey battling long balls

by Steve Anagnos | Sat, May 16th 8:59am EDT

R.A. Dickey's record fell to 1-5 after getting shelled by the Astros Friday night in Houston. Dickey gave up ten hits and seven runs in his five inning of work and failed once again to keep the ball in the yard. Dickey gave up two dingers on the night, with the big blow a three run shot coming off the bat of Jose Altuve that gave the Astros a 7-1 lead. That was all Dallas Keuchel needed on what was an off night for the Houston pitcher, who gave up an uncharacteristic four runs himself.

Fantasy Impact:

When Dickey doesn't have his nastiest knuckler moving, he's serving up batting practice as it just tumbles into the strike zone. Until Dickey can get it dancing more consistently, it will be hard to predict what days to start him on your fantasy team. Like all Toronto starters right now, Dickey is a roll of the dice.
