Jordan Zimmermann strikes out six in win over Yankees
by Rose Ingberman | Thu, May 21st 7:18pm EDT
After a shaky first inning, which he attributed to throwing too many fastballs, Jordan Zimmermann brought his curve and slider into the mix to shut down the Yankees for six innings. When the Nationals scored in the bottom of the seventh, Zimmermann got a well-deserved win.
Fantasy Impact:
Zimmermann (4-2, ERA 3.52) is 8-for-9 in Quality Starts, and in six of those starts has given up two or fewer earned runs.
