A Saturday afternoon matinee with the Washington Nationals proved to be another highly successful trip to the mound for Cole Hamels. The Nationals managed to scratch out just 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk.

Saturday marked the 4th consecutive start in which Cole Hamels went 7 innings or more while allowing 2 runs or less. The struggles from April seem well behind him as Hamels has been very successful at limiting the long ball and preventing base-runners since the calendar flipped to May.
