Glen Perkins finally falters Friday night

by Matt Smith | Sat, May 30th 11:22am EDT

Glen Perkins only recorded one out in the ninth inning Friday night against the Blue Jays. He allowed two runs on three hits and a walk, taking his first loss of the year.

Fantasy Impact:

After coming into a tied game to pitch the ninth inning, Perkins walked Russell Martin and subsequently served up a home run to former Twin, Chris Colabello. He would give up two singles in the three batters that followed before he was pulled from the game. While this wasn't a save situation, he is certainly responsible for the loss. Colabello's was the second home run hit off Perkins this season, who now has an ERA of 1.96 on the year.
