Melky Cabrera doubles in the White Sox shutout on SUnday

Melky Cabrera and the White Sox blanked the Astros on Sunday when they won 6-0. Cabrera helped the White Sox by hitting a double in the third inning. The double lead to a run scored when Conor Gillaspie hit a single later in the inning.

Fantasy Impact:

Melky Cabrera is an interesting player. He is a true veteran. He has had a down season, but can have one of those games where you wish you had him in your lineup. Sunday was not a great day for Cabrera, but it was a good one. It seems that Cabrera's slugging percentage and power is not what it was last season. Without the power numbers, Cabrera is limited to being a stacking option or plug-and-play option when matchups are favorable. Cabrera and the White Sox hope their bats warm up with the June weather. If not, it will be along season for them and anyone who has to rely on anyone besides Jose Abreu and Avisail Garcia in their fantasy lineups.
