Miguel Montero strikes out twice Tuesday

by Dale Redman | Wed, Jun 3rd 12:13pm EDT

Miguel Montero entered Tuesday's game as a pinch-hitter and promptly struck out. The catcher stayed in the game and struck out again for final out of the game. He is batting .244 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Montero has been slumping hard recently. Over the last two weeks, he is batting .103 with one home run, one RBI and a 33.3% strikeout rate. With David Ross the only other option behind the plate and hitting .190 himself, Montero will continue to get the majority of starts for the Cubs. I would avoid the former Diamondback in daily leagues until he shows some signs of life.
