The St. Louis Cardinals have the lowest ERA in baseball at 2.71 and Jamie Garcia (1-3, 2.67) has made a strong contribution to that low figure since coming off the DL. Garcia will be put to the test on Friday night against the (No. 4 ranked batting average .269 average) Royals. The southpaw has pitched well in his return to the starting rotation, but the Royals present a tough matchup at home. Garcia doesn't have much experience against the Royals (10.80 ERA, 5.0 innings pitched in the last three years), so he's best suited for a start in deeper leagues.
