An unfortunate no-decision for Clayton Kershaw

Clayton Kershaw was magnificent Friday night against the San Diego Padres. He struck out 11, allowed one earned run on four hits (one home run), but walked three. 73-of-117 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

The game completely changed when Adrian Gonzalez was tossed in the top of the seventh inning. The Dodgers were humming along up 2-0 at the time. In the bottom of the frame, Kershaw hung a slider which Clint Barmes deposited into the left field seats. Mattingly replaced him and brought in Yimi Garcia, who induced a pop-up on the first pitch. Unfortunately, Justin Turner, who replaced Gonzalez, dropped the ball then the next batter Derek Norris hit a two-run home run. Kershaw pitched great tonight so it's a shame he couldn't notch the win. This makes two dominating starts in a row which could be the beginning of a run.
