Max Scherzer came within one out of a perfect game Saturday afternoon. Scherzer retired the first 26 batters and got two strikes on Jose Tabata before throwing a pitch that nipped Tabata's elbow. Scherzer ended the game with 10 strikeouts and only allowed 11 balls out of the infield.
Fantasy Impact:
Max Scherzer is one of baseball's hottest pitchers having a no-hitter to follow up his last start of 16 strikeouts and only giving up one hit. He's retired 54 of the last 57 batters he's faced.
