Braves slugger Freddie Freeman placed on 15-day DL

by Steve Painter | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, Jun 23rd 2:06pm EDT

The wrist injury is not considered serious in that there are no broken bones or other structural problems. The concern is with the soreness and inflammation. The Braves made it retroactive to June 18th, his last day played. (David O'Brien)

Fantasy Impact:

Kelly Johnson and Chris Johnson will likely man first base In Freeman's absence. There is probably not much on the waiver wire but Kelly Johnson is batting .252 and is at least serviceable and is readily available in Yahoo and ESPN. You might also find Logan Morrison or Mike Napoli a temporary fit.
