Clay Buchholz with another strong outing
by Chris McCoy | Thu, Jun 25th 9:49am EDT
Wednesday against the Orioles Clay Buchholz threw seven innings allowing one earned run on eight hits and one walk. Buchholz also struck out seven and earned the win thanks to Boston's five run sixth inning. Buchholz is now 5-6 on the year with a 3.68 ERA
Fantasy Impact:
Aside from a few clunkers here and there, Buchholz has been a pretty reliable pitcher for the Red Sox this season. He is now averaging just a hair under a strikeout per inning and over his last seven starts is sporting an ERA of a 2.47. Buchholz is a fairly safe option as a mid rotation starter at this point, but steer clear of him in DFS if anyone other than Sandy Leon is catching him.
