Koji Uehara with another clean save

by Chris McCoy | Tue, Jun 30th 2:01pm EDT

Koji Uehara picked up his 17th save of the season Monday against the Blue Jays. He entered in the 9th inning in relief of starter Clay Buchholz who had led the team to a 3-1 lead. Uehara cut though the Blue Jays 1-2-3 hitters in order without allowing a single base runner. Koji is now 17-for-19 in save opportunities.

Fantasy Impact:

It was business as usual for Uehara who looked as dominant as ever cutting through the very formidable top of the Blue Jay line-up. He has now allowed one total base runner in his last four innings and appears to be locked-in. While Koji might not be putting up elite closer KO numbers right now, he his locking down just about every save that comes his way.
