Kenley Jansen allows a home run but notches save number 13

by Stan Son | Red Sox Correspondent | Thu, Jul 2nd 1:38am EDT

Kenley Jansen allowed a home run to David Peralta, but struck out two Diamondbacks to notch his 13th save of the season. 9-of-11 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

That is the second home run that Jansen has allowed in 17.2 innings. He's only given up eight hits total. With the two strikeouts, he now has 30 on the year. Jansen pounds the strike zone so the occasional home run is to be expected. Even the great Mariano Rivera allowed 71 home runs. Granted, that was in 1283.2 innings pitched.
