Adam Jones helps the O's in a big way

by James McGowan | Mon, Jul 6th 11:40pm EDT

On Monday, the Baltimore Orioles lost to the Minnesota Twins 4-2. The game would be won in extra innings by a Dozier home run in the 10th. Although they lost Jones went 1-5 with a huge home run that tied the game, and got an RBI in the loss.

Fantasy Impact:

Jones had been in a little bit of a slump before the game on sunday, and continued to regain his form on Monday. Jones has 11 home runs this year, with 39 RBI, with an AVG of .286, and an OPS of .798. Jones has been a huge part of the Orioles this season, and when he is healthy he has shown why he was named an all-star today. Jones has had a greta season for the O's and is a big reason why they have made a big push in recent weeks for first place in the AL East. Jones would be solid power guy for any team that needs a big bat in the line-up. Jones and the Orioles will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday against the Twins.
