Kevin Gausman scorched by Twins

Kevin Gausman was ousted before the fifth inning in the Orioles' 8-3 loss to the Twins. Gausman lasted only three and two thirds innings giving up eight runs (seven of which were earned) as well as seven hits and one walk. Gausman managed to strikeout four in his short appearance but his seven earned runs skyrocketed his ERA from 3.09 to 5.00.
Fantasy Impact:
This was only Gausman's third start of the season but it was clearly his worst one. Coming off a masterful seven inning shutout to the dangerous Texas Rangers, Gausman was flat against the Twins. Gausman has only pitched 27 innings this year so fantasy owners don't need to panic quite yet. Gausman's next start will be telling if he is more likely to be the seven shutout inning type of pitcher or the seven earned runs type of pitcher. Gausman's next projected start is against the Tigers after the All-Star break.
