Chris Davis goes off in the loss

by James McGowan | Wed, Jul 8th 4:46pm EDT

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Orioles lost to the Minnesota Twins 5-3. The Orioles got swept in the series and struggled at times to provide offense in key points. Chris Davis had a solid day at the plate going 3-4 with two hits, a home run, an RBI and a strikeout in the loss.

Fantasy Impact:

Davis has been very good for the Orioles this season and has helped them in tight games. While Davis's offense was solid today it was the other bats that let down the Orioles. Davis this season is hitting .234 this season, with 18 homers, 51 RBI, and an OPS of .785. Davis will bring a solid bat to any team that needs a player to provide offense, Davis is a solid everyday middle of the line-up player that could easily help teams that need a jump. Davis and the Orioles will look to get back into the win column on Thursday against the red hot Washington Nationals.
