Danny Duffy signs minor-league deal with Rangers

The Texas Rangers have signed pitcher Danny Duffy to a minor-league deal. (Texas Rangers PR on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The pact comes with an invite to major league spring training. The long-time Kansas City Royals lefty was traded to the Dodgers at the 2021 trade deadline, but a forearm issue not only caused him to miss the remainder of the 2021 season but the entirety of the 2022 campaign as well. When healthy, the 34-year-old has been productive with a career 3.95 ERA across 234 appearances and 204 starts. Given his 2.51 ERA and 25.8% K% prior to his 2021 trade, Duffy makes sense as a low-risk addition for the Rangers.
