Hunter Pence collects three hits in extra inning win

by Nathaniel Schwartz | Sat, Jul 18th 4:43pm EDT

Hunter Pence had a big night for the Giants in a 12-inning win. Pence finished at 3-for-6 with one single, one double, and one home run. He drove in two runs and also scored twice himself.

Fantasy Impact:

Pence slumped hard after returning from his first injury, but he played very well after returning from his second injury before the break. His big game raised his average from .283 to .296 and has his batting average in July sitting at .333. As long as he is healthy he is a great option in all formats, and if manager Bruce Bochy continues to let Pence hit fifth, then expect plenty of RBI opportunities.
