Kenley Jansen locks down save number 17

by Stan Son | Red Sox Correspondent | Wed, Jul 22nd 3:22pm EDT

Kenley Jansen notched his 17th save of the season Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves. He walked one and struck out two to secure the win for Mike Bolsinger. 10-of-19 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Jansen uncharacteristically walked a batter Wednesday, only his third in 23 innings. This may have been due to the fact that he served up a few home runs recently. Jansen always pounds the strike zone so maybe he was cognizant of that. Regardless, Jansen is elite and will continue to be so.
