Alexei Ramirez does nothing at the plate again

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Mon, Jul 27th 9:15am EDT

Alexei Ramirez did not contribute at the plate during the White Sox victory on Sunday. Ramirez had a great amount of success in the series against Cleveland, except in the last game. On Sunday, Ramirez went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact:

Alexei Ramirez showed his inconsistency once again on Sunday. During the first three games of the series with Cleveland, Ramirez went 6-for-13 with two doubles, a HR, three runs scored, and five RBI. Then during the last game of the series he goes hitless. Ramirez has the ability to be a force in fantasy at the short-stop position. He has seen an uptick in performance and could make for a decent option when the matchup is right. Sunday's performance aside, Ramirez has slashed .276/.295/.431 over the last 15 games. During that span, he has two HR, eight RBI, two walks, and four steals. Ramirez is hard to predict, but if he keeps performing like he has the last 15 games, he will force himself back into the fantasy discussion.
