Jimmy Rollins continues hit streak in return to Philadelphia

by Eric Westlund | Wed, Aug 5th 12:13am EDT

Jimmy Rollins, the all-time leader in hits for the Philadelphia Phillies, batted 2-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts in his first visit to Citizens Bank Park as a member of the Dodgers. He has hit safely in all five games since being promoted back into the lead-off role.

Fantasy Impact:

Rollins entered the All-Star break batting .213/.266/.338 as many Dodgers fans and writers frequently wondered why he remained the team's every-day shortstop. In 15 games since the break, he is batting .250/.311/.500, and in five games leading off, he is batting .348/.348/.565. He also has three homers and a steal since the break. Perhaps some of us buried him too soon.
