Dustin Pedroia (hamstring) will not begin baseball activities until the end of the month, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports. (Tim Britton on Twitter)

With Dustin Pedroia not starting baseball activities until the end of the month does not leave much playing time for Pedroia at the end of the season. It would look like the earliest he would be back after a minor league stint would be early September. This is going into fantasy playoffs. If you own Pedroia and need a roster spot it is safe to drop him.
