Max Scherzer blasted for six runs, loses to Giants

Max Scherzer looked decidedly un-Acelike from the get-go, as he allowed two homers along with four doubles for a final line of 3IP 7H 6ER 0BB 3K (58 pitches, Game Score 24). Scherzer wasn't getting strikes with his off-speed stuff, so hitters were ready for his fastballs right in the zone.
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer's ERA has "ballooned" to only 2.73, but with a record of 1-2 and an ERA of 5.18 since the All-Star break, you have to wonder if he is fatigued or injured. I would not pay the (very high) asking price in fantasy until he strings together some good starts.
