Colby Rasmus kept off base in Saturday loss

by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Sun, Aug 16th 10:45am EDT

Standing in at right field during Saturday evening’s 4-2 extra innings loss to the Detroit Tigers, Colby Rasmus did not get a hit. He went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts, a pop out, and a fly out collectively in the game. Rasmus took a slight dip in his average, down now to .236 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Since George Springer has been cleared to resume baseball activities, Rasmus himself must be counting down the days until his teammates return. While making some decent plays defensively, the veteran outfielder has been having a hard time at the plate since having to be placed out in right field more. Fantasy holders should still, however, keep an eye on Rasmus in the coming games.
