Colby Rasmus jacks two homers in Sunday walk off win

by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Mon, Aug 17th 10:51am EDT

Shifting to left field during Sunday afternoon’s 7-6 series clinching walk off victory over the Detroit Tigers, Colby Rasmus went 2-for-4 with both hits tallying for two more home runs on the year. He also tallied a pop out and a strikeout collectively in the game. Rasmus has bumped his average up to .239 and is now in a three way tie for second place in club leading home runs.

Fantasy Impact:

If ever there was a thing to give the veteran outfielder confidence going forward as the season winds down, this past outing for Rasmus is surely it. While his power is well known, it is a rarity for him to belt more than one homer in a game. It has happened before, but not a whole lot. Regardless, fantasy holders should keep a close eye on Rasmus in the coming games.
