Bartolo Colon throws Coors Field BP session for Rockies

by Nick Ritrivi | Sat, Aug 22nd 8:14am EDT

After being staked to a 7-1 Mets lead in the second inning (and 8-4 lead in the fourth), Bartolo Colon graciously allowed the Rockies to get back into the game by yielding seven runs on nine hits (with two walks) in 3.2 IP. The Rockies hitting clinic against Colon was highlighted by a mammoth three-run HR by Nolan Arenado in the fourth inning.

Fantasy Impact:

Colon was hit by a pitch on his right hand in the second inning when he squared to bunt. Trainers checked on him and he remained in the game. Despite a home stadium of CitiField, he now holds a brutal 4.90 ERA and 1.30 WHIP after a strong start to the season. He should be ignored in all formats at this point.
