Mauer had a single in the fourth inning, and then another in the eighth, as the Twins lost to the Houston Astros, 4-1. The Twins recorded only five hits total for the night.
Fantasy Impact:
Mauer is having a decent year in terms of batting average (.271 on the year), but has lost a lot of his power from the past. He is a great player to help fill in gaps here or there in your lineup, but not a first choice at first base, where he has been spending a lot of time lately.
