Alcides Escobar awful to end August

Alcides Escobar was 2-for-25 to close August and finished the month with a .197 batting average. This was the worst month of the season by far, as he had three months with a batting average over .275. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Escobar had a .290 batting average at the All-Star break, but he has slumped to a .210 batting average in the second half with only three extra-base hits. He has not had power production this season, with only 23 extra-base hits, and with his batting average dropping to .260 he has lost all fantasy value.
