Cold streak continues for Chris Davis

by Jack Keenan | Tue, Sep 1st 4:19pm EDT

The Orioles lost again Monday night falling 6-3 against the Rays. A key component of the Orioles' offense is Chris Davis who continued his struggles Monday going 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. Davis has only four hits in his last 26 plate appearances (.154 BA) which explains why Baltimore has only won once in the past 12 games. His average is continuing to dip, plummeting to .249 on the year. If Baltimore wants to end the year on some sort of positive note, they will need Davis to get out of this funk.

Fantasy Impact:

Davis supplied the Orioles with most of their power (leading the team with 35 homers and 92 RBIs). However, when Davis isn't on fire it can be ugly as the last two weeks have shown. Davis cannot be trusted at the moment in daily leagues or on an everyday fantasy basis until he shows signs of regaining his form.
