Ian Kinsler goes yard against Kansas City
by Julius Bzozowski | Wed, Sep 2nd 1:29am EDT
Ian Kinsler gave the Detroit Tigers offense a jolt Tuesday night, as he went 2-for-5 with three RBI, including his 10th home run of the season. The homer was a two-run blast in the seventh inning, which ended up providing the winning margin as the Tigers won 6-5.
Fantasy Impact:
Kinsler is not the reason the Tigers are in the AL Central basement. Kinsler is now hitting .306 on the season with 84 runs scored, 32 doubles, 64 RBI and 10 HR. Despite the Tigers record of 2-8 in their last ten games, Kinsler has actually raised his season average in that span. It is good to see a veteran like Kinsler playing out the season hard, even if his team has fallen out of playoff contention. Kinsler is a gamer and he should be in your fantasy lineup every day.
