Brandon Crawford

Brandon Crawford misses action Tuesday, likely Wednesday

Brandon Crawford sat out of Tuesday's showdown against the Dodgers while dealing with soreness from a wild pitch in Monday's game. It has been an injury-riddled past couple of weeks for Crawford, first with the oblique tightness and now the leg soreness. Due to the Giants facing Kershaw tonight, who pitches lefty, Crawford is likely to rest for the night and Ehire Adrianze will get the starting role at shortstop.

Fantasy Impact:

Due to the Giants now being 5.5 games back from the Dodgers, both the Giants and Crawford hope he will return for one last push for a playoff spot before the season ends. Crawford has had an All-Star caliber year and his presence is surely felt both offensively and defensively.
