Max Scherzer allows five runs in loss to Mets

Again, Max Scherzer was bitten by the home run bug, giving up three big flies, as well as four doubles, which added up to five earned runs in six innings. Although he reached 97-98 mph several times, his control was off and too many pitches caught too much of the plate. He left with the game tied for a no-decision.
