Felix Hernandez has back-to-back solid starts

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Sep 8th 3:50pm EDT

Felix Hernandez has pitched 16 innings of his last two starts, allowing five runs on nine hits, striking out 16 batters while allowing one walk. Hernandez has a 5-3 record in the second half, but has a 5.31 ERA. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Hernandez has had a rough time in the second half, allowing three or more runs in five of his nine starts since the All-Star game. Although he has allowed a lot of runs, Hernandez does have a 5.50 K:BB ratio in the second half and now is 16-8 for the season. He is still a SP1, but fantasy owners do hope that he can work on his run prevention.
