Bryce Harper doubled and smashed two solo home runs, but it was not enough for the Nationals to overcome a faltering bullpen against the Mets on Wednesday.

This was Harper's 36th home run. He leads the National League in runs scored (104), batting average (.335), OBP (.467) and slugging (.657). He lags in RBI only because he has not had sufficient runners on base in front of him.
