Brandon Phillips goes 3-for-5 versus Giants
by Kerry Kauffman | Wed, Sep 16th 11:06am EDT
The Reds defeated the Giants on Tuesday in ten innings by the score of 9-8. Brandon Phillips had a big night for the Reds, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Phillips raised his batting average to .293 for the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Phillips has been hot in September, hitting .352 with two home runs and ten RBI. His batting average is 20 points higher than his career mark, but his on-base percentage and OPS are slightly down. Having said that, Phillips is hitting the ball well and is a good fantasy option at second base for the final few weeks of the season.
