Victor Martinez tallies the lone hit off Samardzija on Monday

Victor Martinez went 1-for-3 in the first game of Monday's double-header against the Chicago White Sox, and was the only batter who managed to get a hit off of Chicago starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija. He then went 0-for-1 in the second game of the double-header. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
The single by Martinez in game one not only broke up a no-hitter, but it also extended his hit streak to eight games. The streak was then snapped in game two when he went 0-for-1. Martinez is hitting .333 for the month of September, but only has three extra-base hits. Aside from average, there is not much here from a fantasy perspective.
