Mike Trout hit his 40th home run

Mike Trout and Albert Pujols hit back-to-back homers in the first inning and the Angels held on for an important 4-3 victory over the Astros.

Mike Trout hit is 40th home run of the year last night off of Lance McCullers. He is only the second player in franchise history to hit 40 in a season. Trout is continuing to hit for power with his only hit being the home run. The Angels have a big game today against Mike Fiers and the Astros to continue their push for the playoffs.
