David Price wins 18th despite shaky outing

by Marc Walton | Sat, Sep 26th 8:10pm EDT

David Price improved to 18-5 on the season despite a less than memorable performance. Price went five innings, allowing five runs (four earned)on six hits, while striking out six. The win also secured the Jays at least a spot in the wild card game, which would mark the Jays first appearance in the postseason since 1993, ending a 21 year drought.

Fantasy Impact:

Regardless of the shaky outing, Price still holds an 18-5 record with a stellar 2.45 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 225 strikeouts in 220 1/3 innings pitched. With Price set to hit the open market this winter, it's unclear where he will wind up, however one thing is clear is that Price will continue to be one of the best pitchers in baseball.
