Zack Greinke helps Dodgers tie the NLDS at 1-1

by Stan Son | Sun, Oct 11th 12:42am EDT

Zack Greinke allowed two earned runs, five hits (two home runs), and struck out eight in seven innings Saturday night in Game 2 of the 2015 NLDS. The offense was able to pick up Greinke in the seventh inning primarily due to the controversial slide by Chase Utley to break up a potential double play. Four runs were plated that inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 lead. 70-of-110 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Greinke finished as the #2 overall player on the ESPN Player Rater. He had an unbelievable season ending with a 1.66 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 200 strikeouts in 222 2/3 innings. A Cy Young is definitely in the cards and a huge payday is awaiting him in the offseason. Greinke should be one of the top pitchers selected in 2016 drafts. The only question will be if that's in Los Angeles.
