Hanley Ramirez's shoulder fully healed

by Chris McCoy | Tue, Nov 10th 11:39am EST

Hanley Ramirez met with Red Sox baseball chief Dave Dombrowski in Boca this week to make sure that everyone was on the same page this offseason. In addition to the conformation that Ramirez's shoulder was fully healed the meeting also helped to reiterate both the expectation that Hanley will be a first baseman in 2016 and that the team expects him to trim down a bit. Dombrowski did however make it clear that Ramirez is working exclusively on conditioning at this time and is not actively taking any ground balls. (Rob Bradford - WEEI.com)

Fantasy Impact:

There are more than a few question marks surrounding Ramirez in 2016 as he prepares to make his second position switch in as many seasons. These concerns will likely cause Hanley to plummet in most draft rankings as he will also be losing his short stop and middle infielder eligibility. Depending on the depth of your league Ramirez could be worth a shot as a late round pick where he won't cause too many problems if he goes bust again.
