Lance Lynn has Tommy John surgery and will miss the 2016 season

Lynn underwent the Tommy John procedure on Tuesday and will miss the entire 2016 baseball season. Lynn finished 2015 with a 12-11 record and a 3.03 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP. (St. Louis Cardinals on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This injury will hurt the Cardinals starting pitching depth, but they still have quality arms returning to the team next season. Lynn, 28, is under contract with the Cardinals through the 2017 season. He will try to work his way back to be ready for the 2017 season.
