Jon Jay traded to Padres

Outfielder Jay has been traded to the Padres from the Cardinals in exchange for Jedd Gyorko. The Padres will also send $7.5 million to St. Louis in the deal. (San Diego Union-Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
The 30-year-old Jay has played for the Cardinals the last six seasons posting a career .287 batting average. Last season Jay hit only .210 in 79 games for the Cardinals as he dealt with a wrist injury. Jay should be able to get playing time in the Padres outfield this season in both left and center field.
