Neil Walker has been traded to the Mets for SP Jonathan Niese. Walker looks to replace Daniel Murphy at 2B for the Mets. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Walker will take over at 2B for the Mets, either as a full time starter, or paired with a righty as the dominant side of a platoon. Fantasy-wise, Walker was the 14th-best 2B on the player rater last season, and will unlikely see any change moving to Citi Field as it is quite similar statistically to PNC Park. Walker remains a relatively-safe mid-to-late round pick in all formats, and someone often had for cheap in auctions as he doesn't stand out in any category.
