Fernando Rodney to sign with the Padres

According to Jon Heyman on Twitter, the Padres have an agreement in place for a major-league deal with relief pitcher Fernando Rodney. (Jon Heyman)
Fantasy Impact:
Rodney pitched in 68 games last season with the Mariners and Cubs, posting a 4.74 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 16 saves. Rodney will likely be considered for the closer role in San Diego this season along with Kevin Quackenbush. Rodney could be an inexpensive option for fantasy owners on draft day with some upside if he can regain his 2012-2014 form.
