Wade Miley to enter season as likely No. 3 starter

by John Trupin | Brewers Correspondent | Fri, Apr 1st 2:38am EDT

With James Paxton headed to Triple-A and Nathan Karns earning the final spot in the rotation, Wade Miley is expected to slot in as the only left-handed starter for the Mariners to start 2016. (Mariners.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Miley will likely fit in as the third starter in the rotation behind Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma. As a decidedly average pitcher in the eyes of many, Miley actually stands to benefit from the move from Fenway to Safeco, and is expected to approach 200 innings pitched this season. While consistency is not particularly sexy, Miley could be a consistent low-end option, particularly with a Mariners defense that is likely to be significantly improved from last year's disaster.
