Joe Girardi named CC Sabathia the fifth starter over Ivan Nova on Friday. Girardi referred to last year's strong September and CC's experience as the deciding factors. (MLB.com)

This was the common sense move, as Sabathia led the Yankees in innings pitched last season while Nova has not pitched more than 139 innings in the last three years.
