Carlos Ruiz scores a run in opening day loss
by Kerry Kauffman | Mon, Apr 4th 8:21pm EDT
The Phillies managed just six hits on Monday, falling to the Reds in the season opener, 6-2. Carlos Ruiz, who likely will see more days on the bench than in a starting role, got the start and went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Fantasy Impact:
Ruiz hit just .211 last season and will see significantly less playing time this season in favor of Cameron Rupp. Don't expect significant fantasy contribution from Ruiz, but he could be a decent backup that can spell your starter one or two days a week.
